The KP Public Service Commission Cheating Scandal is out today 15 November 2023. A breach similar to the MDCAT test scandal has come to light in the ability test conducted by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission. The test took place on June 24, 2023, for Grade 17 positions, specifically for posts in the Irrigation Department under the CNW. During the examination, 18 candidates were apprehended for cheating.

Public Service Commission officials released a public notice acknowledging that the cheating candidates had utilized electronic devices, MasterCards, and other deceptive methods to gain an unfair advantage in the exam. When approached for comment, former Irrigation Department Superintendent Engineer Abdul Wali Yousafzai stated that cheating is not a new phenomenon in Public Service Commission exams. He emphasized that cheating practices and recommendations to secure success have been deeply embedded in corruption throughout the country’s Public Service Commission examinations.

Cheating incident in the KPPSC exam

The Public Service Commission recently conducted an exam on June 24 for the recruitment of SDO positions in the Irrigation Department and CNW. However, prior to the exam, complaints regarding cheating were received through the Prime Minister’s portal. During the exam, 18 candidates were caught cheating.

Upon investigation, electronic devices, guides, and other duplicating materials were found in the possession of these candidates. As a result, the exam for these candidates involved in the cheating incident was canceled.

The Public Service Commission has taken strict action against the candidates involved in cheating. They have been banned from appearing in any exams conducted by the commission for a period of three years. Furthermore, a new exam will be conducted on December 23 to ensure a fair selection process.
